Tragic accident in Pakistan, 15 killed as bass fell into ditch after brake failure
At least 15 people have died after a speeding bus carrying wedding processions fell into a gorge in Pakistan’s Punjab province. 60 others were also injured in this incident. The bus was going from Islamabad to Lahore on Sunday, but it met with an accident on the way. The bus overturned in the Kallar Kahar Salt Range area, about 240 km from Lahore.
Giving information about the incident on Monday, relief rescue officer Muhammad Farooq said, “Before overturning, the bus collided with three vehicles coming from the opposite direction and fell into the ditch.” All the people aboard the bus were returning from a wedding ceremony. After the accident, many people were badly trapped in the bus, some part of the bus had to be cut to get them out.
Three vehicles also collided
The rescue team told that the brake of the speeding bus had failed. Because of which this accident happened. Before overturning, the bus collided with three vehicles coming from the opposite direction and fell into a ditch. The condition of 11 of the injured is said to be serious. According to Farooq, six women are also included in the 15 dead.
