Father sold minor daughter for two lakhs
Cases of trafficking of minor girls are coming to light every day in Bihar. In Haryana-Rajasthan and other states, daughters are being sold in the name of marriage. The latest case is in Bhagalpur where a father sold his minor daughter for two lakh rupees in the name of marriage. Her father was getting her married to a boy who had come from Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the villagers informed the police, after which the police reached the spot and arrested the groom, the girl’s father and the broker. When the police took action at the right time, a girl’s life was saved from being spoiled. The incident took place in Rangra assistant police station area of the district.
It is being told that in Simaria village of Tintanga Diara Gyanidas Tola of Rangra Assistant Police Station area, a father sold his daughter to a boy from Rajasthan. It is being told that the father had taken two lakh rupees from a Rajasthani boy in exchange for marrying his daughter. After this, the boy from Rajasthan had come to Vind Toli to get married with his brother, then someone informed the police about this.
Came to become a groom and ended up in jail
The police reached the spot and arrested the girl’s father, broker Karelal Mandal, Raju Teli, who was preparing to become a groom, and his brother Suresh Teli. It is said about Karelal Teli that he works in Diara area by luring poor families and luring them with money to get them married with people from other states. People from other states pay that huge amount as brokerage for marriage. Karelal Mandal had arranged marriages of many minor girls in this way and was preparing to do so in future also.

In this case, Rangra assistant police station in-charge Bittu Kamal said that the police have registered a case against all the accused under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956 and have made them accused.
