More than 55 cows died in a few hours on Thursday at Gaushala in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh, while the condition of more than 50 animals is critical and they are being treated. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has taken cognizance of this incident and ordered to take strict action on it. CM Yogi has asked the Additional Chief Secretary Livestock, Director Livestock and the Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad to investigate the incident and submit a report. Along with this, he has asked the State Livestock Minister to immediately reach the spot and inspect the situation.
According to the information, there were a total of 188 animals in the big cowshed of Santhalpur village of Gangeshwari, the development block of Hasanpur tehsil of Amroha. Here, Tahir, a resident of Saharanpur, had supplied fodder and on Thursday morning the staff of the gaushala cut green fodder and dumped the animals. After eating the fodder, the condition of the animals started deteriorating and by late evening more than 55 animals had died. While the number of seriously ill animals is said to be more than 50 and they are being treated. The Chief Minister has also given instructions for proper treatment of sick cows and said that the culprits of the incident will not be spared. In this case, a report has been lodged against Tahir, who supplied the fodder.

After getting information about this incident, the top officers reached the spot and there was a stir in the department regarding this incident. Because its information had reached the government in Lucknow. After this, DM BK Tripathi, DIG Shalabh Mathur and other officials reached the spot.
