New Delhi: The increasing cases of corona and new variant Omicron in the country have raised the concern of the central as well as the state governments. However, it is a matter of relief that the number of corona patients has come down in the last few days in metros like Delhi, Mumbai.
Meanwhile, an important meeting of DDMA is going to be held today under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Delhi Anil Baijal. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is also likely to attend this meeting. The current situation of Corona will be reviewed in this meeting. All the top officials will be present in the meeting.
It is believed that after the meeting, the idea of ending Delhi’s ongoing weekend curfew will also be considered. In view of the problems of the traders, there can also be a discussion on the COVID guideline in the markets. Along with the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party, traders have also demanded lifting of curfew over the weekend and ending the odd-even system in the markets.
The Delhi government last week allowed all private offices to function outside containment zones with 50 per cent attendance. However, DDMA had advised private offices to reduce office hours, attendance and staff volume. However, earlier in the month, the DDMA had decided to impose curfew in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday to contain the corona rise.
