According to the data, from January 9 to January 12, 97 patients died due to corona infection, out of which 40 patients were getting their treatment in Delhi hospitals and these were patients who were already suffering from some disease. Although more than two dozen patients were not even vaccinated, some of them had received only one dose of protection against corona.
Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of LNJP Hospital told IANS that most of the patients are already hospitalized and suffering from chronic diseases. These include cancer patients, AIDS patients, dialysis patients, liver failure patients, etc. There are many diseases that go on for a long time.
Patients are being admitted to the hospital due to the first diseases, so the risk of infection is high. Because their diseases are in the last stage.
He further told that, there are about 31 patients who are undergoing dialysis and they are also infected, they are getting dialysis twice a week, there are also a large number of cancer patients. Patients suffering from the diseases of Asthma, TB and AIDS are also admitted in the hospital.
Apart from this, between January 9 and January 12, seven patients are children below the age of 18 years and three are innocent children below the age of one year. At the same time, a total of 18 patients aged 19 to 40 years have died. Along with this, a total of 37 patients aged 41 to 60 years, 27 patients of 60 years to 80 years and 8 patients above 80 years of age have died.
40 patients died in government and district level hospitals in Delhi, 28 patients in central government hospitals and 29 in private hospitals.
Tushar Singh, 54-year-old Vinod Kumar’s son, who was admitted to LNJP hospital, told IANS that, my father was suffering from kidney disease for a year and due to dialysis, vaccination could not be done, so he would remain admitted in the hospital as well. Were. At the behest of the doctors, we did not get the vaccination done and even after this, he could not get proper treatment in the hospital.
On Wednesday, more than 13 thousand COVID cases have been registered in Delhi, while 35 patients have also died. However, the infection rate in the state now remains 23.86 percent. A total of 13,785 cases of corona infection have been reported in Delhi.
The number of active corona patients in Delhi has increased to 75282. Apart from this, a total of 2734 patients are currently admitted in various COVID hospitals of Delhi. Of these, a total of 371 patients are from outside Delhi and 2253 patients are from the state of Delhi.
