Patna: The third wave of corona in Bihar has now gained momentum. If we look at the figures, people of all age groups are getting infected in the third phase of corona in the state, but most of those infected are young people. If we look at the data released by the Bihar Health Department, the number of infected in the age group of 30 to 39 years in the state is 23.90 percent, while the number of infected in the age group of 20 to 29 years is 28 percent.
Of the people who have been found corona infected in the state since December, the percentage of people in the age group of 40 to 49 years is 15.20, while 12.50 percent of the people in the age group of 50 to 59 years have been infected.
Only 8.60 percent of those who are 60 years of age and above are infected in the state. The number of children infected is the least. In the third stage, 1.9 percent of people aged 0 to 9 years have been infected, while 10 percent of people in the age group of 10 to 19 have been infected.
It is noteworthy that according to the report released by the State Health Department on Tuesday, 5,908 new cases have been found across the state in the last 24 hours, taking the number of active patients to 25,051.
The maximum number of 2,202 new patients have been found in Patna, while 162 in Begusarai, 210 in Bhagalpur, 107 in Bhojpur, 232 in Darbhanga, 160 in Gaya, 180 in Jamui, 132 in Jehanabad, 133 in Madhubani, 154 in Munger, Muzaffarpur. 264 new patients have been confirmed in Nalanda, 114 in Saharsa, 249 in Samastipur and 122 in Saran.
According to the report, 1,88,133 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. During this, 5 infected people died in the state while 1,790 infected have also become infection free.
