New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the World Economic Forum. He addressed the virtual Davos agenda. During this, the PM said that India is facing the Corona wave strongly. He has also focused on economic reforms during Corona. Ever since the era of Corona started, we have been providing free ration to 80 crore people. We have also focused a lot on economic reforms.
He counted 10 major changes made in the country during his tenure and said that now the difficult times are over. Emphasizing on economic reforms, the Prime Minister said that India, which was infamous for license raj, has now moved ahead. He said that today Entrepreneurship among Indian youth is at a new height. Today India is sending a record number of software engineers to the world. There are more than 50 lakh software developers working in India. Today India ranks third in the world in terms of Unicorns.
Prime Minister Modi told the world leaders that this is the best time to invest in India. He said, “Indians have the ability to adapt to new technology, the spirit of entrepreneurship, they can give new energy to each of our global partners. So this is the best time to invest in India.”
PM Modi said, a Product Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme worth $ 26 billion has been run in 16 sectors. Through this, India is committed to easing the global supply chain with manufacturing. India Make in India is focusing on Make for World. India is preparing policies keeping in mind the next 25 years. The focus is on investment and manufacturing in India.
In his address, PM Modi said, “A strong democracy like India has given a beautiful gift to the whole world, a bouquet of hopes. In this bouquet, we Indians have unwavering faith in democracy.” PM Modi said, “In this time of Corona, we have seen how India, following the vision of ‘One Earth, One Health’, is saving crores of lives by giving essential medicines, vaccines to many countries. Today India is the world’s Third largest pharma producers, pharmacy to world.”
Earlier, many heads of state have addressed this program and will do so. These include Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Chinese President Xi Jinping and EU Commission Chief Ursua von der Leyen. Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his address that joint efforts are the only way to win from the corona epidemic. He also talked about equal distribution of vaccine and rapid vaccination across the world.
