Inauguration of 105 km long Outer Ring Road
PM Narendra Modi has gifted the 105 km long Outer Ring Road (Kisan Path) to the people of Lucknow built at a cost of Rs 5500 crore. The Prime Minister inaugurated it virtually in the presence of the country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. More than 20 lakh population of Lucknow city will benefit from the construction of Ring Road. With this, vehicles coming and going from Sitapur, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Kanpur and Hardoi Road will now be able to pass from outside Lucknow city without entering the city.
Construction of Kisan Path started in 2016. Then Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had laid its foundation stone. It is said that this Outer Ring Road is the dream project of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. The Outer Ring Road has been constructed in 5 packages. About Rs 5500 crore has been spent in making it.
Defense Minister gave credit to CM Yogi
After the inauguration, the Defense Minister said- The people of Lucknow will benefit a lot from this. The city will get relief from traffic jams. More than 1 lakh vehicles will pass through the 105 KM long Outer Ring Road without entering the city. Rajnath Singh gave the credit for the construction of this long Outer Ring Road to UP CM Yogi Adityanath and said – Being your MP, I have not done any big miracle. CM Yogi Adityanath has been a great support in all this work. He also asked during today’s program that if any work has been left, please let us know and it should also be completed immediately. Along with this, Rajnath Singh said- Lucknow to Kanpur Expressway will also be ready by next year. After its construction, it will take 40 to 45 minutes to travel from Lucknow to Kanpur.
