This news is from Jaipur where a case of cruelty to a dog has come to the fore. Here a man fired 22 bullets at an unruly animal, which killed the dog.
According to the information, in Kheda Malukpura village, an angry man opened fire with an air gun after the dog repeatedly entered the farm of a farmer and bitten the goat. 22 pellets entered the dog’s body. The dog was suffering in the field for about 2 hours. A young man passing by took the dog to Hingonia Gaushala. Seeing the critical condition, the doctors referred him to Animal Hospital located at five lights. The dog died after about 2 hours during treatment. An FIR has been lodged against the farmer at Tunga police station.
Police said that the incident happened at around 7 am on Tuesday. A dog named Kalu had entered the field of Sawant Singh (55), a resident of Malukpura near Bassi, on Tuesday morning. Near the farm is Sawant’s house. Sawant saw the dog. He took out the rifle and started firing bullets. About 22 pellets hit the dog. He started suffering in the field itself. Ghanshyam, who was passing by the nearby road, saw the injured dog. He was bleeding. There were many holes on his body. He was in agony.
Activist Maryam Abu Hydari got information about this on Tuesday evening. She immediately reached the hospital. She took complete information and reached Tunga police station. He has lodged an FIR against Sawant Singh. He told that there are 22 holes in the dog’s body. The police have not arrested the accused yet.
Abu Hydari says that for some time people have been changing their attitude towards dogs. They are not deterred from attacking, firing. If the law does not take strict action against these people, then the society will continue like this. If the police catch such persons and give the harshest punishment, then such incidents will be reduced.
