New Delhi: Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan recently returned to the national team after winning the title to Gujarat Titans in the IPL. His team has come to play ODI series against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club Zimbabwe. Rashid Khan’s T20 did not take off in the first ODI played on Saturday. He played such a brilliant innings in a quick manner that the cricket lovers were stunned.
Rashid landed at number seven
The two openers of the Afghanistan team, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, got out cheaply. After this Rahmat Shah and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi took over the innings. Both the batsmen continued to bat till the 44th over. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 88 runs in 104 balls, while Rahmat Shah scored 94 runs in 120 balls. After the dismissal of Mohammad Nabi in the 47th over, batsman Rashid Khan, who landed at number seven, created such a devastation that the world was stunned.
Rashid Khan created a ruckus
Rashid scored an unbeaten 39 runs in 17 balls at a strike rate of 229.41, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes. Rashid’s strike rate was the highest for his team. Rashid batted in ODIs as if he was still playing the IPL. He lashed out at the Zimbabwe bowlers in the death overs. Thanks to Rashid’s swashbuckling innings, Afghanistan’s team could score 276 runs in 50 overs.

Along with this, Rashid Khan also did wonders in bowling. He took 2 wickets for 39 runs in 10 overs. Rashid lbw to Sikandar Raja for 67 runs, while Donald Tiripano was bowled for 15 runs and showed the way to the pavilion.
Rashid scored 91 runs in 16 matches at an average of 22.75 in this IPL season. This included his match winning innings of 40 runs. Along with this, Rashid took 19 wickets in 16 matches this season. His economy was 6.60.
