BJP has made all preparations to capitalize on the victory of NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu on the post of President of India in Rajasthan. After Murmu’s victory, BJP’s eyes are on the tribal vote bank of Rajasthan, which has started to be cultivated. BJP’s Rajasthan President Satish Poonia is going to take out the Vagad Tribe Gaurav Padyatra in Banswara-Dungarpur region from July 24 to 25, in this episode, which has started. It is believed that the BJP, excited by the victory of Draupadi Murmu, wants to strengthen the ST vote bank by celebrating this victory among the tribals. In this visit of BJP, tribal society and BJP ST Morcha office bearers along with many MPs-MLAs and office bearers-leaders of the district will be involved. It is being told that this padyatra is being taken out in preparation for making a strong electoral grip in the direction of removing political weakness in the tribal area of the BJP. Political experts say that BJP wants to give a strong message in the tribal area of Vagad.
Let us tell you that in Rajasthan BJP, political tours have always had their own importance. Former CM Vasundhara Raje also takes out a yatra in the state before the elections. At the same time, this time BJP’s state president Satish Poonia has resorted to travel to connect with the public and a big vote bank.
Poonia’s foot march after Raje
Let us inform that after the victory of the NDA candidate in the presidential election, the party chief is now taking out a yatra in Rajasthan, whose name has been given to the Vagad tribe Gaurav Padayatra in view of the tribals. This journey with the tribals of Vagad region will last for 2 days. After offering prayers at Tripura Sundari Temple in Banswara on Sunday, Satish Poonia left for the Yatra.
According to the information, in this 41 km long journey, Satish Poonia will not walk with a convoy of vehicles but as a padyatra. At the same time, the journey will end at Beneshwar Dham on the border of Dungarpur-Banswara. On the other hand, it has been claimed by the BJP that it is related to the pride of the tribe and the yatra is being taken out on the initiative of the people of the tribal society.
Big vote bank in tribal area
It is worth noting that in the 2018 assembly elections, BJP had won only three out of 9 seats in Vagad, after which the significance of this visit increases. Let us inform that Banswara and Dungarpur districts mainly come in the Vagad zone, where there are five assembly seats in Banswara and four in Dungarpur. In the last assembly elections, the BJP had won the Garhi and Ghatol seats in Banswara and Gopichand Meena became the party’s lone MLA from Aspur in Dungarpur district.
Along with this, stopping the BTP, which emerged in the last elections in the Vagad region, is also a big challenge before the BJP and Congress. It is to be known that in the last election, BTP had won two seats in Dungarpur district where Rajkumar Roth from Chaurasi and Ramprasad from Sagwara had won and the Dungarpur headquarters seat went to Congress’s Ganesh Ghoghra. While Bagidaura in Banswara, Congress went to Kushalgarh Independent’s account. Apart from this, both the seats in the neighboring district of Pratapgarh are also with the Congress.
