Jay Shah’s statement created a stir in PCB
The Pakistan Cricket Board has been furious over the statement made by BCCI secretary Jay Shah regarding the Asia Cup 2023. The PCB did not like this thing at all and has written a letter asking the Asian Cricket Council to intervene in the matter.

Pakistan threatens not to play in World Cup
India is going to host the ICC World Cup next year. The PCB has clearly threatened that the statement made by Jay Shah regarding the Asia Cup will also have an impact on the World Cup being hosted by India. In its statement, the PCB further wrote, ‘During the ACC meeting, after the consent of the members, Pakistan was given the hosting of the Asia Cup. Jay Shah’s statement is against the ACC’s motto which says that all the boards should work together to promote cricket. This statement will lead to a rift between the Asian and International Committee and the ICC. Along with this, it will also have an effect on the ICC World Cup to be held in India where Pakistan has to participate.
The PCB has also asked the ACC to clarify Jay Shah’s statement and call an immediate meeting to discuss the issue.
