Dubai Accident: Four years ago, an Indian citizen was badly injured in a road accident in Dubai. He remained in coma for 14 days and was treated for 10 months. Now a compensation of Rs 11 crore has been received from the insurance company.

Dubai Road Accident: An Indian citizen was badly injured in a bus accident in Dubai four years ago. The insurance company has now given a compensation of Rs 11 crore (5 million dirhams) to a person named Muhammad Baig Mirza. The bus was going from Oman to United Arab Emirates when it met with an accident in Dubai. There were 31 people in the bus. In this road accident of 2019, 17 people were killed, in which 12 were Indians.
According to media reports, the accident happened when the bus driver rammed into a high barrier at the entry point of the metro station here. Due to the high speed of the bus, the left upper part of the bus was completely destroyed. The bus driver was a resident of Oman and was sentenced to seven years by the local court in the accident case.

Court reversed its decision
The court asked the Omani driver to pay 3.4 million dirham blood money to the victim’s family. Mirza Baig’s lawyer said that the court had earlier awarded him one million dirhams as compensation. However, later he again went to the court and challenged the decision. The court overturned its decision after a long hearing and asked the insurance company to pay a compensation of 5 million dirhams i.e. 11 crore rupees.
Stayed in the hospital for 10 months after the accident
Mirza Baig, 20, was on his way to Muscat after a holiday. He was so badly injured that he was hospitalized for 10 months. He was also in coma for 14 days. Later he also had to stay in the rehab center. According to the report, he was preparing for the final year examination. He was doing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Due to the accident, even his diploma could not be completed. His brain was damaged up to 50%. It was told that now getting compensation will give them a big relief.
